Humble Bee Films was set up in 2009 by Stephen Dunleavy, a former Producer at the BBC’s Natural History Unit.  The company produces factual television focusing on Nature, Science and History.

RTS awards 2014 two nominations for our Natural World: Two Tonne Tusker in the categories of Best Natural History Programme and Best Editing.

Planet Parrot, a one hour about urban parrots for Terra Mater which transmitted in Austria on Wednesday 12th March. It performed better than expected for them achieving excellent ratings.

Principal Large Format (PLF) was founded in 1998 by present CEO Phil Streather. PLF is a production company dedicated to developing and producing: Giant Screen (IMAX) features, Theatrical Documentary features and UHD TV.

Phil is currently in development on a number of Giant Screen 3D films, including The Bumblebee Queen  (; a follow up to his 2003 IMAX hit, Bugs! 3D, narrated by Judi Dench. Bugs! has grossed over $50m at the global box office and won awards at Jackson and Wildscreen.

Throughout 2012 Phil was a consultant to BBC Earth. In his capacity of Director of Giant Screen and Museum Films he advised on all aspects of their move into the Giant Screen 3D business. At the same time Phil worked with the BBC Natural History Unit as Stereoscopic Supervisor on the ground breaking Tiny Giants 3D, which delivered in 2014. Tiny Giants 3D received a 3D documentary award from the International 3D Society in Los Angeles in January 2015 and another in December 2015. Phil won the inaugural 3D Guild Award for his work as stereo supervisor on Tiny Giants 3D.

Phil is a board member of the Giant Screen Cinema Association, a full voting member of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) and regularly chairs/produces/participates in panels on Giant Screen and 3D.

OCT 2016

Talesmith have been jointly commissioned along with Coffee & TV through their SPV FLYRIDE, by P.E.L Creative to create a giant screen immersive film experience. The film is being specially made for a brand new visitors’ centre being built at the Changbaishan National Park in China by Legend Tourism Investment . It will offer a unique 4D perspective on an environment rich in natural history in this area of outstanding natural beauty.

ALTAYFILM was set up in 2011 by Henry M. Mix and Yann Sochaczewski. 

Based in Germany, the company specialises in immersive wildlife films that require extensive periods in the field and strong scientific credibility.

ALTAYFILM co-produces and delivers to a wide range of national and international broadcasters and distributors, incl. NDR Naturfilm Doclights, ARTE, Channel One Russia, Terra Mater, NatGeo, Albatross World Sales and others. Recent filming locations include Ethiopia, Russia, Azerbaijan and Germany.
