Safari Central - Rewild your World

Safari Central - Rewild your World

11th July 2017

Safari Central is the first ever game based on real wildlife data. The player is able to track the movements of wild elephants, pangolins, lemurs, grizzlies and other animals in their city, seeing them come to life in their phone through augmented reality, and then help their preservation in the wild through in-game purchases.

Safari Central is a startup games studio based in Kenya, dedicated to making commercial games that bring players closer to nature; all in a focused effort to impact wildlife conservation attention and funding, and all through gaming.

This "ferociously fun" game brings the player closer to wildlife and allows them to get involved in its conservation.

Safari Central have managed to team up with many of the big players in conservation, including WWF, Conservation International etc, who allow them special access to live data from real wild animals that they track around the world.  They are able to incorproate this data on real aniamls to create wildlife experiences you just can't normally get.

This Kickstarter is their first major leap; a location-based AR game, and the first ever game based on real wildlife data. In shorthand its like Pokemon Go, but with animals who really exist, and move around cities based on their movements in the wild.

Money made from our games is funneled back into the conservation projects themselves.
