All our suites are designed for comfort and practicality. As a post-production facility created by editors, we recognise the importance of moving with the times, embracing new advances in technology and working methods. Our state of the art facilities include Avid Media Composer, Premiere, After Effects and Final Cut Studio and all suites are on both AVID ISIS and Tiger’s Project Store shared storage servers. Each suite is routed through to a central Machine Room, for access to a variety of tape formats for ingest, conforming or playouts. In addition, all of our online suites are connected via high bandwidth network video storage, allowing seamless sharing of all project information, metadata, and media.


Our large online edit suites offer Avid Media Composer, Adobe Premiere Pro (CC)  and Final Cut Pro. We work with all codecs at every resolution and can deliver to both tape and file formats, and our in-house finishing team has years of experience delivering every genre of broadcast programming, film or advertisements.


DaVinci is the name behind more feature films, television commercials, documentaries, episodic television production and music videos than any other grading system. Our clients continue to be impressed with the speed and superior results that DaVinci Resolve offers. We have carefully developed a completely tapeless workflow from offline through to conform and into the grade on DaVinci, with a seamless transition to online in either Avid, Adobe Premiere Pro (CC) or Final Cut Pro as is appropriate for each project.



FILE-BASED - As part of the UK Digital Production Partnership (DPP), we use Vidcheck’s automated quality control program ‘Vidchecker’ as our preferred AQC system. All files undergo a full in house technical review to ensure the video and sound quality of all projects passes broadcast standards.

In addition to the bespoke review process and to ease the demands of file based delivery, our efficiency has always been the key to our workflows – to this end we have a fast, dedicated secured upload service included in every file delivery. Delivering a broadcast quality AS-11 file takes only minutes.

TAPE-BASED -Still in constant demand from clients is the efficiency of tape, and we can offer tape based workflows for project back-up copies, world wide delivery and reversions. We still deliver weekly magazine programmes on this format and occasionally last minute fast turn-around projects require this service.


FILE-BASED - With in-house equipment and a team with a thorough understanding of codecs, file formats, and frame rates, we can digitising your file-based rushes or archive. With a friendly dedicated team, you can discuss workflows or technical details about your footage or edit.

TAPE-BASED - HD and SD tape ingest from most formats is available. Upscaling and downscaling as a part of the ingest process is standard. All file formats are supported and we have multiple workstations to ingest from for bigger projects.

The support team have a thorough understanding in codecs, file formats and each project’s workflow is discussed in detail with the client to agree the most efficient workflow.


Over the years we have developed a knowledge base of equipment and workflows allowing us to specialise in arranging a bespoke, tried and tested solution for any production on any piece of editing kit.

We have great relationships with many suppliers and hire companies and pool our resources to secure the most cost-effective results for your project. If we cannot source kit from our own in-house list we can generally cross hire from one of our suppliers. Please call us for a quote on any kit that you require.


With the development of tapeless rushes and file-based delivery, making backups of media is more important than ever. To help our clients with their archiving requirements we have an LTFS LTO archiving system that can write to LTO6 and LTO7, as well as read LTO5 tapes.

Having these options available allows LTFS LTO tapes from other facilities be usable on our own system.


PROTOOLS - Pro Tools is the only high-end industry standard tool for across the board audio post-production. Our bespoke dubbing theatre and top-end high powered plug-ins, mixed in with bags of talent from a team of dubbing mixers and editors, enable us to combine the highest quality sound fidelity with unparalleled flexibility and ease of use.

Our recent projects range from small radio commercials to full 5.1 Dolby E surround mixes for film and television. Pro Tools works seamlessly alongside any editing software –  128 tracks with infinite routing possibilities are available, and sturdy DSP cards give fantastic processing power on a stable platform.

SOURCE-CONNECT - Doghouse has been pioneering this software since it first came to light and utilise it for regular recordings in New York, LA, Scotland, Ireland or even just around the corner.
