Sam Livingstone is listed under: Aerial Camera
Sam Livingstone is founder and lead pilot of CineFlite, one of the most innovative and creative aerial cinematography teams in Bristol.
With over a decade of experience self-shooting, producing and directing in science, natural history, and adventure films Sam has written/produced for presenters ranging from David Attenborough to Alice Roberts, Andrew Marr to Richard Hammond.
He has filmed in Asia, South America, the US and across Europe in many challenging situations including high altitude, rope access, UAV aerials, underwater and with dangerous animals.
In everything, Sam's emphasis is on storytelling and how the creative application of technology can reveal the world to an audience in brand new ways. As such, he is a licensed RPAS aerial pilot, and experienced in the use of hand-held stabiliser rigs, motion control, time-lapse and many other filming techniques.
Sam pilots a range of 4K aerial camera platforms, or drones, each geared to different environments and the needs of the film-maker. Working closely with a small team of highly skilled remote camera operators Sam is able to deliver almost any aerial shot imaginable. It’s like having a dolly, crane and helicopter with you on every shoot!
When not filming or flying he has a developed a track of record writing treatments and taking them to commission. Past awards include a BAFTA and Woods Hole (Flying Monsters 3D) and Emmy nomination (PBS - Can You Live Forever).
