Rob Sullivan's 'Jungle Animal Hospital '

14 April 2016

" It would be impossible to watch Rob Sullivan's heart warming film without feeling that there is hope for humans and animals. The Arcas Wild Animal Rescue and Rehabilitaoitn Centre is the busiest animal resuce centre in Guatamala, run by staff and volunteers from all over the world.  ...This is a programme full of good people and beautiful animals" wrote a critic in The Times today.

The Natural World season starts up again tonight, with "Jungle Animal Hospital". ...Here Rob, who filmed, directed and produced the film, tells us of the challenges he and his team faced and of the pleasures of making a Natural World show.

On the first day of our recce I walked into the rescue centre and my heart sank. There was a sea of rusty corrugated iron covering grim metal cages, and a deafening wall of sound with hundreds of parrots all screeching at once. And we have to make beautiful television out of this? I honestly felt like turning round and walking out again.
