Netflix has gone big with its first step into the natural history world - the series has received unrivalled publicity with 'that' interview of David Attenborough by HRH Prince William.

But what people may want to know, is why David Attenborough is working with Netflix ?

Part of it has to do with the mutual admiration and long standing professional relationship between executive producers of the series, Alastair Fothergill and Keith Scholey, and David. But more importantly, it is because David, as a broadcaster extraordinaire,  is never one to miss a trick when it comes to promoting a cause.  Netflix provided the team with an unrivalled platform to spread the word about the series and the state of the planet.

David Attenborough will narrate the eight-part natural history series on Netflix

Netflix’s Our Planet, a new eight-part documentary series from Silverback Films, is set to be released on April 5th 2019.
