Winners of the 2019 Jackson Wild Media Awards Announced

Natural History Network members pick up 15 awards at the gala celebration hosted last night in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.

The 8-part, Netflix docu-series, Our Planet, created by Silverback Films in partnership with WWF-UK, walked away with four awards, adding to their two Emmy awards received early this month.  The Bristol-based production company won, Ecosystem (long-form), Changing Planet (long-form and short-form) and Limited Series – Short.

Natural history filmmaking community gather for #FilmStrikeForClimate

Wildlife filmmakers united in Bristol, the heart of wildlife filmmaking, on Friday in support of the global climate strike and made a moving tribute to extinct and endangered animals. 

Wildlife filmmakers gathered and presented eulogies to mourn for species lost, and to spread a message of togetherness to fight for species and ecosystems on the brink - to be a voice for the voiceless.The community stopped traffic on Park Street to hold a procession to College Green to join the Youth Strike for Climate, laying coffins of specie

Today we are thrilled to announce that the Natural History Network has a new home. After 8 years, the Networks founders, Lizzie Green and Vicky Halliwell, are handing over the organisation into the safe hands of Wildscreen.

Natural History Network was launched in 2011 to support the global wildlife TV business through news, events, networking and talent recruitment.  It has established itself as a hugely respected cornerstone of the wildlife production ecosystem, with over 300+ individual members and 25+ company members. 

Silverback Films wins two Emmys

Silverback Films wins Best Narrator and Outstanding Documentary or non-fiction Series at the 2019 Emmy Awards. 

Bristol-based Silverback Films has won two awards at the 2019 Creative Arts Emmy® Awards ceremony honoring outstanding artistic and technical achievement in television which took place this weekend at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
