What Data we Have?
NHN holds the following on its website - this makes up your personal profile:
- first and last names;
- work history;
- website/showreel links;
- image gallery;
- availability calendar.
These are held on our website database and, and using your NHN login, are editable by you. Changes to your profile require approval, by NHN, before they can go live online. Your login information also provides you with access to the full content of the NHN website.
To conceal your email on your website profile, contact by a third party, via the NHN website, is done through an online contact form.
NHN also holds your email address, first name and last name on a Mailchimp database.
Why we Have your Data?
We want to give you the best possible experience with NHN and enable you to market yourself, and your skills, to the wider natural history film-making industry. The data we hold about you provides the content for your NHN profile, which you supply via email (as part of our registration process) and which you can update and edit yourself at any time. We also use your data to contact you via Mailchimp in the form of:
- networking event invitations;
- availability alerts;
- job vacancies;
- notification of a specific events;
- industry-relevant/career information.

You provide NHN with your data, via email, as part of the registration process.

To promote you and your skills via the NHN website and via our last-minute availability alerts.
To send you: job notifications, availability alerts, newsletters, networking invitations, relevant NHN-membership offers/updates.
We Assure you That.
We will never sell or pass your data to any 3rd party, without you specifically asking us to do so.
NHN will treat your data with the utmost care and will take the appropriate steps to protect it.
As part of our availability alerts, we will only pass your information onto production company members of NHN - with your express permission. This information comprises your availability, name and brief resume, which you provide NHN in response to an availability alert email. You can always opt out of these, by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
We will only send emails to you that are relevant to finding work, keeping in touch with news and innovations, receiving job adverts or giving you advance notification of specific events.
You can delete the information we hold on you at any time (though please be aware that in doing so, NHN will then be obliged to remove your profile from the website and cancel your access and membership, with no refund).
If you choose to leave NHN, we will remove all your data from our systems and you will be "forgotten". However, plesae note that if you then re-join NHN, you will incure a one-off £10 re-joining fee (to cover admin to reinstate you on our systems).
